Vacation Day Cap
Colleagues:
The vacation day cap (40 days) will be put back into place on January 1, 2023. The MOU signed between UUP and SUNY is attached. We don’t expect this MOU to be renewed.
There is still plenty of time to get your accruals under 40 and not lose your earned benefit.
However, if you will unable to use these days or just want to help out a colleague in need of sick days, please go to https://www.buffalo.edu/ubnow/briefs/2017/12/uup-sick-pool.html or contact Moriah Bolinsky Hegmann at 645-0898 or hegmann@buffalo.edu, or Nancy Kacala in Human Resources at 645-4440 or kacala@buffalo.edu. Days must be donated before Dec. 19.
FYI, as of now, fortunately there are no specific requests/needs from our members for sick days and your current donations will be put into a generic pool. The pooled days do not expire December 31st. If a member makes a requests and allows us to make their request public, we will let you know. But in the mean time use them or donate them!
